Strawberry Fields
We are always on the lookout for new and meaningful experiences for our Rays and we love when something unique and seasonal pops up! So when we got word about a new, local strawberry patch that was officially open to visitors we couldn’t wait to go!
Okatee River Farms was exceptionally kind to our adults, insisting we pick for free and taking the time to give them a tour of the fields/equipment and even the sweet animals they had there!
The Rays had a blast and picked some of the best looking berries we’d ever seen!
They enjoyed some of the fruits of their labor right away and then got some wonderful life skills practice cleaning and freezing the berries to be used for smoothies next week!
A fun and educational day in the glorious sunshine, nothing better! Thank you Okatee River Farms! We can’t wait to come back!
