Saltwater Sunshine

When it comes to making our own products, our design process is always organic and typically inspired by our unique low country surroundings. Our latest idea came together in exactly that way! A ‘redfish’ or spot tailed bass design had been on our mind for a while, so when we saw the beautiful fish drawn by local artist Charlotte Fraser for her swaddle company, we knew we’d found the perfect artist to partner with. Charlotte graciously agreed to work with us and brought our idea to life, a native low country fish with a sunshine in place of his signature tail spot.

We loved Charlottes design, and even more so, we loved the joy and pride on the Ray’s faces as they printed this sunny fish onto shirts and kitchen towels.

The design was so well received that we decided to take another leap and dip our toe into retail. As wish everything we do, this wasn’t truly about selling shirts, but rather creating activities and opportunities for the Rays. Much to our delight, The Boathouse and May River Excursions, two incredibly cool local shops agreed to carry our shirts and let our Rays come in periodically to check on inventory and straighten and fold, etc.

So far the shirts have been a big hit in all locations and the Rays love getting out into the community and taking care of their new responsibility! A win-win all around!
