Spreading Sunshine with Island Academy
The Rays love connecting with friends of all ages and we have recently begun growing our relationship with a wonderful new school on our little island. The Hilton Head Island Academy serves students from preschool through high school and has wonderful students and teachers.
We have connected with their older students as guests in their classrooms, sharing about Pockets Full of Sunshine and bringing the Rays in to participate.
We have connected with the preschool, attending their recent class production and bringing flowers to each sweet, young performer.
Most recently we have connected with their elementary students, welcoming them into our production space. There they both helped the Rays in a volunteer capacity and learned from them as our adults shared their knowledge of screen printing.
Our days spent with these wonderful young people have been beneficial to both of our groups in so many ways; it is inspiring in the now and makes us hopeful for the generations and future to come!
