Kicking Off A Sunny New Year with Project Unify!

We ADORE our wonderful high school friends from Project Unify! They are always coming up with creative and fun ways to include and celebrate our Rays so of course it was no surprise when Brooke, the amazing PU President let us know she wanted to plan a New Years Party for our adults!

The kids decided to host the party at The Island Recreation Center, one of our favorite partners! The IRC kindly reserved a room for our group and even allowed us to use their brand new, state of the art adaptive playground!

This playground is not only fabulous and fun but also holds a special place in our hearts as it is dedicated in the loving memory of Gregory Fotia, a wonderful local boy with special needs who passed away years ago. His mother has dedicated her life to helping others with special needs in his memory and this adaptive playground couldn’t be a more perfect way to honor him!

The Rays and Project Unify members enjoyed the playground, and danced and sang to music inside the rec room! They also got to play games in the teen room and enjoy the most beautiful (and tasty) cookies complements of PU!

Thank you Project Unify for helping us kick off the New Year in style!! Here’s to 2020!
