ShareEaster Eggstravaganza with The Island Recreation Center

Hope everyone had a Happy Easter! Once again our Rays worked hard all year long to stuff 20,000 eggs for the Island Recreation Center! Lots of work and lots of fun!

Typically the eggs are used for a community wide Easter Egg Hunt but for the second year in a row, due to the pandemic, things looked a bit different.

Instead of the large hunt, the Rays separated all of their stuffed eggs into individual bags that families could pick up curbside to use for their own hunts at home.

The Rays not only stuffed the eggs and the bags, but also got to help hand them out in the park prior to Easter! We love a full circle project like this, providing vocational opportunities as well as a chance to interact with the community!

Next on our list is collecting and recycling eggs to begin stuffing for next year!
