FPC Chili Cookoff!

A few months ago we were approached by the Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church about participating in a chili cookoff in the fall. Our dear friend Pastor Joel was leaving FPC for his new post and wanted to do something special for Pockets before he moved on. The chili cook off would coincide with welcoming the new Pastor to the church and would be a great way to let the congregation know more about Pockets and our Rays! We loved this idea and couldn’t wait to participate!

Once the date was set we were encouraged to participate fully by the church. Rays and families helped make chili, helped set up and clean up the event, we had a small booth selling our holiday items and we even made Peanut Butter Putters for dessert!

The turn out was great and the Rays loved meeting new friends from the church who so kindly hosts our Sunday programming. We look forward to more wonderful events with FPC in the future!
